Bomb threat causes evacuation of Barnstable court

BARNSTABLE — A bomb threat prompted the evacuation of Barnstable Superior Court for about 1½ hours this morning.The Barnstable Fire Department, which is located next to the courthouse on Route 6A in Barnstable building, received a notification of the threat at 9:42 a.m., said Barnstable Fire Chief Francis Pulsifer.The building was evacuated while Massachusetts State Police brought in a bomb-sniffing dog, Pulsifer said.The dog checked the interior and [...]
